Professor Lupin stood at the front of the classroom. "Today class, we will be practicing the Shield Charm," He said. "I want you to pair up and attempt to Jinx each other, but deflect jinxes fired at you like so:" He waved his wand and said clearly, "Protego." The air around him seemed to ripple as the charm surrounded him.

Lisa looked all the other students trying to find a pairing. "Anyone want's to practice with me?" she asked waiting for someone to answer.

Delilah listened as Professor Lupin explained about Shield Charms. When he finished, she looked about for a partner. There was a girl looking for one also. "Hey, Lisa! I'll practice with you." Delilah drew her wand and walked over to Lisa with a smile on her face.

"Hey there Delilah" Lisa said. "I hope you'll go easy on me, I don't want you to hurt me." she joked. She drew out her wand too. "Do you wanna jinxs first or should I?" she asked waiting.

"You can. I'm not too great at firing. And I need to get my defense up." Delilah smiled. She couldn't remember too many great jinxs. Delilah did know how to use Protego, though. Not very well, but yet the jinxes did get deflected. Most of the time. "Okay, I'm ready."

Delilah was half-zoned out when Lisa cast her spell. "Pro-pro-PROTEGO!" Delilah snapped back, almost too late. She deflected half the spell, but at a wonky angle so the spell hit the chandelier above. It swayed dangerously but calmed down eventually. The rest of the spell had nicked Delilah. She felt slightly woozy when she had finished. Delilah shook her head to shake off the feelings and smiled at Lisa. "Again please, sorry that was bad, I wasn't paying attention. Can I try again? I'm ready this time."
