"I'm in ravenclaw," Taylor said softly, feeling a little bit excluded from the conversation.

"I'm in Gryffindor too, but the Sorting hat did want to put me in Ravenclaw." She said and sighed at the sight of the second floor, now they were getting somewhere, she was practically panting, she wasn't a very physical person, more scholarly. It was a shame that she was the one that was conducting most of the conversation 'Oh well,' she thought, 'It's a bit like being the tour guide.'. Normally it was the other way around, Hermione was never much of a social person. "So, this is a bit of a workout isn't it?" She asked, hopefully sparking up more conversation, it was starting to feel very quiet among the three of them.

Not really for me. I'm on the quidditch team so I excerise a lot. What about you two?" Taylor asked them.

"I don't really exercise, I prefer to read." She replied, walking up to the final landing. She breathed a sigh of relief, the climb was over.

"Oh. I love reading. I read a lot of books everyday. My friends call me a bookworm," Taylor said to her.

Hermione laughed, "Well, it's god to know I'm not alone." She looked around and toward a door at the end of the hall, "What do you say we start in there?" She asked pointing toward the door. In reality she hated the Shrieking Shack. Now, she just wanted to make some new friends.

"Sure, why not?" Taylor said as she stepped closer to the door. She had never been here before so, she followed Hermione.

Hermione took a deep breath and braced herself for what might lurk behind the door. "So, do you like Hogwarts so far this year?" She asked, trying to distract herself from wanting to run down the stairs and out the door.

"Yea, it's been great. I've met many people here and made lots of friends. What about you?" Taylor asked. "Why don't we go in?" Taylor asked, indicating to the door.

"Oh my year has been fantastic." She said as she turned the creaking doorknob slowly. Trying to remember to breathe. The door finally opened all the way, revealing an empty room with a horrific amount of dust, Hermione shriveled up her nose and entered. "Taylor, welcome to the mess that is the Shrieking Shack." She said with a smile, why had she been afraid?

"Ick. I hate dust," Taylor said as she shruddered at the sight of the room. 'If my mom was here, she'd want to clean this room,' Taylor thought with a smile. "Okay, let's go somewhere else. I hate dust," Taylor said closing the door.

"Okay." Hermione said sounding a little overenthusiastic "Why don't we go to the Three Broomsticks?" She asked hoping they would, she was in need of a nice tasty butterbeer. She was glad to be getting out of the Shrieking Shack at least, with its dust and that old smell.

"Yea, ok. Why don't we meet there in thirty minutes. I'm going to take a shower and change. I hate being around dust," Taylor said as she headed downstairs. "I'll see you there ok?"

"Sounds great, Taylor." Hermione said as she brushed off some of the dust that had settled on her. "I'll see you there." She took a breath and headed down the stairs, it was so much more easy than going up them.
